Create a button

For the simplest example draw a rectangle (you may use rounded rectangle and gradient colors to make it look nice).

Size of the button doesn’t matter, as you may adjust it later as an instance on the stage. Select the button and hit F8. In the menu select Button type of the symbol and give it an appropriate name.

Test you movie and you will see that when touching the button the mouse cursor changes to the hand. It shows that you have added potential interactivity to this object.
